
Bernadette Hofer
Bernadette Hofer is currently enrolled as a Master’s degree student at the University of Modena (Italy) in the field of intercultural communication, focusing on the English, German, Italian and Portuguese languages. From February to April 2017, she was an Erasmus+ intern at the Margarida Losa Institute for Comparative Literature at the University of Porto, where she was engaged in the development of the She Thought It database, which promotes the visibility of women scientists. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology as well as in Romance Languages, both obtained at the University of Vienna (Austria). During her Bachelor studies she has also spent two semesters as an Erasmus exchange student at the University of Catania (Italy), where she has done research in the field of Sociolinguistics, focusing on Linguistic Sexism and Gendering in Italian.
