Maria Adamopoulou

Maria was an intern at the Margarida Losa Institute for Comparative Literature research unit at the University of Porto, where she participated in the creation of the She Thought It database of women in science and art, within the Intersexualities project. She holds a Bachelor (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) and Master (University of the Aegean) degree in History. Her master thesis investigates the refugee child labor in 1920s Salonica based on oral testimonies. She has been a fellow in international programs like Erasmus in Lille,Harvard’s Summer Internship in DC and Boston and Humanity in Action in Paris. As part of her master’s degree she participated in the organizing committee of the International Summer School “Cultures, Migrations, Borders” in Lesvos. Her research interests include oral history and formation of subjectivities, history of labor, social and urban history and history of  migration and mobility.
