Joana Espaín

Joana Espain Oliveira is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Engineering Physics at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, PhD in Physics at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, with the dissertation ‘Cosmological evolution of domain wall networks and dark energy scenarios’, currently developing research in materials for energy storage devices. Completed the Master curriculum of the Master in Literary, Cultural and Interart Studies of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of University of Porto and enrolled a PhD at the same Faculty on ‘The scientific imaginary on Emily Dickinson poetry’. She has published a few dozen articles, including several in the field of ‘Literature and Science’. She is the author of two poetry books and co-author of two children’s books.
