Andrea Avilés Torres

Andrea Avilés Torres has graduated in Journalism at the University of Valencia and has completed a year at the University of Leipzig, Germany, under the Erasmus program. She was an Erasmus+ Intern at the research unit Margarida Losa Institute for comparative literature of the University of Porto, with the group Intersexualities. She has worked specifically in the promotion of the database She Thought It, which focuses on the achievement of women in science and arts. She has also been involved with LGBTIQ+ associations in Spain in raising awareness of asexuality and other queer related topics. Her main areas of research are Gender and Queer Studies, Cultural Studies and Communication.
