Jasmin Böhm is currently an intern at the Margarida Losa Institute of the University of Porto where she is working on the development of the She Thought It database which promotes the visibility of women in science and arts.
In 2015 she graduated from the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Sociology. Her thesis about the political messages in the medium film with an example of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s film “Che cosa sono le nuvole?” got published in the University’s library in the same year. During her years of education she worked at several social projects around the world and gained significant knowledge with the completion of the internship in a design studio as well as in the Museum for Applied Arts in Frankfurt am Main. After gaining her Bachelor’s degree she worked for one year in online marketing at a German company in Offenbach before starting her Master’s degree in Curatorial Studies in Coimbra in Portugal. During her Master she curated together with her colleagues two exhibition with the artist Pedro Barateiro and Ângela Ferreira at the Colégio das Artes in Coimbra.
At the moment she is working on her master thesis about the provocation in art as a political and social act with a focus on Europe and Iran and therefore preparing her research trip to Iran.
